Food Bank-Food Boxes, Staples, Fresh Produce
Loaves and Fishes distributes food boxes with enough food to feed a family for three days, three meals a day, and are made according to family size. Staples such as dried beans, rice and flour are available once a week and families are able to shop our food bank daily for fresh produce.

Coordination for the 2005 Holiday Food Box Giveaway has already begun to join forces with area churches and organizations to better meet the needs of the hungry in Fremont County at Thanksgiving and Christmas.

We give thanks to the local grocers and farmers and COMPA Ministry in Denver for sharing with our needy.

Homeless Shelter-Chayah House
Our mission at the Chayah House shelter is to establish a safe haven for the homeless in Fremont County. Chayah House serves as a temporary shelter with 22 beds, private showers, and laundry facilities. We serve 3 meals per day and are staffed by house parents.

Warehouse-Clothing, Furniture
Clothing donations are received from all over Fremont County and are distributed free to anyone who has a need. In addition, furniture, miscellaneous household items such as dishes, pots and pans, diapers, towels and blankets as well as personal hygiene items are dispersed to needy families.

Every year we hold a Christmas Toy Giveaway where parents can shop for new toys for their children and donations are generously made by businesses, banks and schools. In 2004 we will be working with other organizations to hold one Community Children's' Christmas Celebration.

Financial Assistance-Housing, Utilities, Medical, Transportation
Funds for those in need of financial assistance for housing, utilities, transportation and medical expenses are made possible by the State, various foundations, churches and individual donations.

Back to Work-Job Serach, Resume, Practical Skills
Through a grant received from the Colorado Family Foundation we are able to work with the Colorado Workforce Center to help individuals search for jobs. Through our computer lab, we help prepare individuals for the workplace with on-line job search, resume writing skills, computer training and practical typing skills.

Our Day Labor Call In Center offers work until something more permanent comes in, to help with odd jobs in community homes and businesses by posting and filling requests for temporary workers.
